This is one of my favorite Ghost Player photos. Keith Rahe and Dennis Rima were traveling with the Ghost Players in Japan and took a few moments to ponder the beauty of a pond so very different than they would find at home in Iowa.
Yesterday may have been one of the coldest days recently, but we were kept warm with the laughs and the friendship that gathered together at the Field of Dreams. I had the great pleasure of chatting with Ghost Player Al Steffen, who has faithfully attended every on-site Ghost Player game at the Field of Dreams, and a number of the other events too. Al also works hard to keep the site in amazing shape.
A friend had invited me to join a few others at the legendary house made famous in the film Field of Dreams. Yesterday’s adventure included a chance to share our lunch with the amazing Denise Stillman, who is one of the owners of the FoD. Because the house is a private residence as well as office, getting to be on the porch is a rare treat that is not open to the public.
Last year, I was given that honor when I helped film the 25th Anniversary Celebrations during Father’s Day. Yesterday, my friends and I spent some time at the dinner table and then on the porch swing with Denise.
Jeff, thanks for the invite. Bryce, thanks for getting the panoramic of Bibi, Molly, and I. Thank you Tom for taking the picture of the 6 of us and being such a great lunch companion; glad to have met you and looking forward to seeing you the next time I am at the Field of Dreams.

There sure is as you look at this fascinating postcard that flickers between scene 1 and scene 2. The Ghost Players appear and disappear with the slightest of movements of this lenticular postcard. These cards were used during the production and festival run of the Ghost Player: Relive the Magic documentary. The men featured on the card are all members of the Ghost Player baseball team and were professional and semi-professional baseball players. Some of them are also members of the cast of the Field of Dreams movie.
